The Saba Freiburg 14 is much sought after vintage wooden radio and considered a high-end wooden radio way back in 1964. Almost all Saba radios are considered high end like Mercedes Benz. The Freiburg range is the top model of Saba. They are made in Germany and real quality stuff is being used. I am a restorer and I have yet found any vintage equipment that is as good as Saba radios…Look at the pictures, the knobs, push buttons are first class. Look at the green cone speaker being used and still in mint condition, 2-nos. 10" woofer, 2-nos. 8" full range speaker at the sides and a tweeter mounted at the center between the two woofers. Amazing sound quality beat most modern radios. Can receive FM (88-104Mhz, SW, MW, and LW). For this radio it receive FM Moon, optional stereo decoder is needed. Believe it or not they have FM way back in 1950s and stereo reception around 1964. When Malaysia transmits FM? Wait and best of all motorized tuning! Can accept phono input and CD line level.
All lights tested OK and all valves in good condition.
